Wrong answers in Survivor, Triviathon etc.

Hello Robin Blomquist and @ablheath! Thank you so much for your comments! We appreciate you sharing your concerns here. We are aware of the fact that the "Report" feature is currently only available in classic game mode. And as Audrey has mentioned, we are working on the possibility of adding this feature to the rest of our game modes. Meanwhile, we do appreciate our users reporting any errors they may encounter directly to us, this way, we will send the information to our Content team, in charge of taking the appropriate measures. Robin, we will be linking our post: "What can I do if I come accross a question that has an error". We understand your frustration, and we apologize for these inconveniences. We wish you both have a wonderful day! Stay safe!

“Working on the possibility of adding this feature...”
Umm, right. Since the beginning poor question quality has been the biggest problem with this game and your response is always “The users make and approve the questions”. The report button in the Classic game is great but even when I take screenshots and email you bad questions in the other games you don’t remove them.
Can I make a suggestion?
What if only people who have achieved genius ranking or level 200 can submit and approve questions? I think it would really improve the quality if we could weed out the bad spelling, grammar, vagueness, factually incorrect and just plain stupid questions. Limiting it to people who take it seriously would help and it would give newbies something to work for. -
Audrey and Mike are both correct. Our frustration with Etermax is driven by our
basic appreciation of this game. Other trivia games have much more repetition. However, the approval process of TC must be more stringent. The quality and accuracy is getting worse. Your “team” seems more focused on creating new leagues (another one today) than on quality control. We are rooting for you to fix these problems. -
I have another suggestion to Mike’s problem. What if during the review of new questions you can flag a question as grammatically incorrect, really bad formatting, way too long to fit (or read in the time we have) and so forth. Then you can add the option for a second review of only those questions where higher ranking users can make the necessary changes and submit them either to you or for a second content review. I don’t review questions because the vast majority have formatting issues like a names not capitalized, inconsistent punctuation or misspellings. I would be willing to spend ten or fifteen minutes to make these changes every time I play. I suspect it would lower the number of rejected questions you get, it wouldn’t take any of your employees time after the initial programming, and it would greatly improve game appreciation and professionalism.

Hello Mike, Robin Blomquist, Maybedog, thank you so much for your suggestions, we honestly appreciate them! We are indeed working to report and consider all feedback we are receiving from our users, especially since we understand how important question quality is. We believe the ideas expressed in these comments are great, allowing our most committed users to take part in the question review and correction. Currently our Content team has been working on these corrections, which can sometimes take a while to see reflected in the game, as well as implementing new filters within the Question Factory that will improve the quality of the questions that are suggested and approved into the game. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! We apologize again for all inconveniences this has caused you. We wish you all have a wonderful Monday! Stay safe!!

That link isn’t working for me so I’m posting this incorrect/misleading/confusing picture question & answer here:
The picture depicted Mount St. Helens before the 1980 eruption. The question was something like, “What is this dormant volcano?” They’re using present tense but not the current mountain/situation. Mt. St. Helens is an ACTIVE volcano and has lost her snowy crown. I’m guessing that most players would know this and thus choose a different answer. (This question is especially dear to me because I live in Western Washington State and remember the resulting earthquake that shook my bed and woke me up. I remember collecting the ash off our car. We lived more than 100 miles away as the crow flies. You don’t forget those before and after photos in situations like that. :) -
Poor questions/wrong answers are becoming a daily routine. Today’s winner is How many number one hits in the US did the Beatles have? The correct answer (per Newsweek) is 20 and that’s what I chose. The wrong answer of 5 is listed as correct. You have a great game here that’s being ruined by people submitting incorrect trivia either deliberately or accidentally. The current review by other players is failing horribly.

I just got a Survival question about the year Wyatt Earp died. It had the correct answer as 1884 and listed my response of 1929 as incorrect. Trivia crack has the best variety of any trivia game, but wrong answers are not good variety. A simple solution to this must be found soon.

I agree the Question review process is flawed. I see good questions that never make it into the game and terrible questions get approved. Too many are trivial obscure facts that no one other than the writer knows. My latest pet peeve is all the phobia questions in review. There's a phobia for almost anything, are we really going to go there? Ericfields05

So many of the Science questions require a medical degree to answer. Also the Entertainment category has a fixation with Grey’s Anatomy and Full/Fuller House. At least the phobias can occasionally be guessed based on the root word. In recent months we had to recognize the flags of every country in the world and many state flags as well. Something is rotten in Denmark.
-
The worst for me are the flag questions. I am blind, and it's frustrating to get questions about symbols and other details I never know since I've never seen the flags. I use the setting to turn off questions with images, so maybe these kinds of questions can be lumped in with the ones that include pictures? I really enjoy the game and I'm usually pretty good, at least I'm able to stay in Genius league consistently. Just a minor frustration.
-
The link above to report questions only works occasionally. Meanwhile incorrect questions/answers in Survival continue. Today it was Which president was shot but did not die? The choices were Lincoln, Garfield, Kennedy, and Franklin Roosevelt. Of course it was TEDDY Roosevelt who was shot and did not die. You must stop rewarding people who supply sloppy incorrect questions/answers to this game. After a certain point, it’s the responsibility of Etermax to control the quality.

Hello Robin Blomquist! Thank you so much for reporting this error and for your insight on the Question Approval system within the Question Factory. As we have mentioned before, we are currently working to improve this process by implementing new filters to the Factory. We will report this error to our Content team for them to take the appropriate measures. We sincerely apologize for all inconveniences this may have caused you. We wish you have a wonderful day!

I've been fact checking for the past few days because my husband, who is a sports nut, gave me answers to some sports questions and they were wrong! I check and trivias answer was actually the wrong one! So then I fact checked some survival answers that I got "wrong" THEY WERE NOT WRONG!!! I've lost multiple games because no one is making sure the answers are correct!! One of them was how long was the revolutionary War, its 7 years and they have it as 8!!! Like all it takes is a google lol to fact check!!!

Hi Brandie, just another player with the same frustrations as you. There’s wrong answers all over the place in this game & the only game you can report them is the Classic game. Even more frustrating when you lose the game when you’ve answered correctly. I’ve probably complained more than anyone. Hopefully, Etermax is actually working on this issue but I have my doubts. They’ve been saying that for a REALLY long time now. Just wanted you to know that you aren’t alone. Some of the games are hard to catch a screenshot of, but if you do, take a screenshot, tell them the correct answer & send it to them. Not through the Forum, but through the help & support option. Good luck! Sometimes, I have to quit playing for a day or two because these issues.

Etermax doesn’t create or approve or research the questions or answers. It would be in their best interest to protect the integrity of their product by developing a clearance rule to eliminate or at least minimize blatantly wrong trivia. Simply adding a report question/review question switch to the Survival mode would be a big step. Survival screenshots are impossible to take without that switch. Etermax has had many many months to do this. Instead they create new graphics and new modes of delivering the same faulty product. Why?

So I just came across the question about the periodic abbreviation for Gold. Forget the fact that this question is in this game dozens of times already, but the answer choices were G, GO, GD and AG. We all know AG is silver but I picked it and it was the “right answer.” A few minutes ago I came across-What is the name of the Pink Panther cartoon character? I didn’t know, so I guessed Pinky. The “Right answer” was listed as snagglepuss spelled SANGULPUS. Even spellcheck knows how to spell snagglepuss. Anyway I knew snagglepuss was a different character so I looked it up. The pink panther had a couple of aliases and Pinky was one of them, but Snagglepuss was not. The lazy deceptive people loading and approving wrong repetitive crap into this game need to be punished and banished. EMax needs to save this game.

My 1st question today was What is the largest cave system in the world. The obvious answer to me is Mammoth cave, but it was spelled MOMMOUTH and again I thought surely a misspelled correct answer would never get approved. Of course I underestimated the approvers once again.

The hits just keep on coming. The question was What century was the Barnum circus founded? PT Barnum who was born in the early 1800s and founded his circus at the age of 60 founded his Circus in the 17th century according to Trivia Crack. I notice all these gag answers are being submitted under different names. Nonetheless it’s ruining the game.

Just had a question that went "What is the longest running show on The CW?"
I selected "Supernatural" and it said it was wrong and that "One Tree Hill" was the longest.
Supernatural has 15 seasons and has been on air for 15 years (just had the series finale last year) while One Tree Hill had 9 seasons and was on air for only 9 years (2003-2012).
