Standard series are card collections you can get through the standard machines. You will find: The Originals, Mythology, Cinema, Fruits, Monsters, Farm Animals, Literature II and Rhythms of the World, among others. Once you have all the cards from the standard machines, your collection (which begins with The Originals and ends with Rhythms of the World) will be complete. To complete the remaining series, you need to get the cards from the special machines and the VIP machine.
